Mark Wikobrado with YourTV Niagara spoke with NC alumna Christina Picton (Graphic Design, 2015) about her experience competing in the 2022 Paralympic Games in Beijing. Picton, a resident of Fonthill, joined the interview virtually from Canmore, Alberta where she currently resides and trains.
During the interview, she shares her thoughts on competing in Para Nordic skiing and Biathlon events at the Games, and discusses her journey with Para sport. Prior to pursuing sit-ski as a sport in 2019, Picton played sledge hockey at an elite level for years. While Para ice hockey is not yet a Paralympic sport, Para Nordic skiing and Biathlon have proven successful for Picton, who achieved four top-eight finishes at the 2022 Games.
