On December 16, Niagara College announced a temporary shift of some program elements to remote/online delivery for the start of the Winter Term, given rising case counts and uncertainty given the rise of the Omicron variant. This pause to a planned increase in on-campus learning will be in effect until January 28, at which time we will reassess the delivery mode of these courses for the remainder of the term.
Delivery modes for all courses have now been updated online. Please visit the Winter Term page on the Return to Campus website to see the delivery mode of your classes.
Your timetable information in MyNC will also be updated to reflect these changes by December 24.
Current health and safety measures will continue into the Winter Term, with practical labs and essential elements continuing to be delivered on-campus as planned with personal protective equipment (PPE) and other health and safety measures in place, including the requirement for enhanced PPE in situations where physical distancing can't be maintained.
Our expectation at this time is that our campuses, including eateries, study spaces, and common areas, will remain open for the start of the Winter Term.
A reminder that, for those who have not yet enrolled in classes, our Mandatory Vaccination Policy remains in place, and students will not be able to select their timetable until they upload their proof of full vaccination.
Although not required under the College's mandatory vaccination policy at this time, as the Province of Ontario expands eligibility and access to booster doses, we strongly encourage you to get your booster dose to help ensure the safety of our campus community.
