Niagara College alumna Christina Picton (Graphic Design, 2015), who is preparing to head to Beijing to compete in the 2022 Paralympic Games from March 5 to 13, was featured in a February 21 article in The Voice of Pelham.
The article mentions that Picton, 28, will compete in a half-dozen Paralympic Nordic events, including biathlons, cross-country sprints and long-distance races, and team relays. Picton, who grew up in Pelham, currently resides in Canmore, Alberta where she trains at the national Nordic training centre. She is also a talented sledge hockey player and runs her own freelance graphic arts company.
