The London Free Press released an article featuring NC alumnus and brewer Ian McClure (Brewmaster and Brewery Operations Management, 2019) who is working at a new brewery called Port Stanley Brewing. In the weeks ahead, McClure will have a hazy IPA and a dark beer at the brewery.
The article highlights McClure’s journey to the brewing industry and studying at NC. Initially, he pursued veterinary studies but eventually found himself managing a small hopyard on his parents’ farm near Lucan. He began selling hops to London Brewing and Powerhouse in London, which sparked his interest in homebrewing and led him to study at Niagara College. After graduating from the Niagara College Teaching Brewery, McClure secured brewing positions at Equals in London and Paris Brewing, further honing his craft.
