An article posted by The Grower on September 16 features NC Business alumnus Benjamin (Ben) Froese, who was announced as the 2022 Grape King by the Grape Growers of Ontario and Farm Credit Canada.
Froese, a third-generation grape grower, was born and raised on a tender fruit farm in Niagara-on-the-Lake. At the age of 20, he took over the farm and converted it into vineyards, doubling its size to more than 40 hectares. For the past 20 years, he has been an Arterra grower and grows several varieties of wine grapes.
