On May 11, the three Niagara dailies (Niagara Falls Review, St. Catharines Standard and Welland Tribune) announced that NC alumnus Lequan Hylton, a graduate of the Protection, Security and Investigation and General Business programs and previous player on the Knights men’s basketball team, is taking over as head coach.

Hylton played four years at the NC and first joined the coaching staff as an assistant after graduating.

Hylton credits his four-year apprenticeship under previous Knights men’s basketball Head Coach Phil Mosley for preparing him to take the next step in his basketball career. He called being part of the inaugural class of the OCAA Mentorship Program “extremely important” in completing the transition to coach from player.
