A March 3 article in the three Niagara dailies (the St. Catharines Standard, Niagara Falls Review and Welland Tribune), Peterborough Examiner and Niagara this Week announced that NC alumna, Lisa Bath won the 2023 Elizabeth J. Latimer Prize in Palliative Care, named for the McMaster University professor who helped transform palliative care in Hamilton and beyond.
Bath, who studied in the Ambulance and Emergency Care program at NC, along with her team identified a problem with palliative care patients in Niagara and came up with a solution earning them the award.
