Penny Coles with the Niagara-on-the-Lake Local featured NC alumni Erica and Josh Karbelnik (Culinary Management co-op, 2011), who are returning to Niagara to prepare a special dinner at the Garrison House in Niagara-on-the-Lake. The married couple competed in the 2021 season of Top Chef Canada – Erica was crowned the winner and Josh was a finalist in the top four.
In the article, Erica comments on her NC experience: “Niagara College is a very one-on-one experience. You know your professor, you work with local venders [sic] and go to markets, you learn about wine and beer and work with very seasoned producers.”
