An April 20 article by Niagara Now announced that Niagara College hosted its eight annual spring BioBlitz on April 15, where 120 participants had the chance to explore different activities at the Daniel J. Patterson campus and learn from science experts about different creatures living in our community.
The article notes that Gregary Ford, Executive Director of Niagara Coastaland alumnus of NC’s Ecosystem Restoration Program (2019), was one of the invited experts.
Ford is quoted in the article: “Here, people are living harmoniously with nature: from the wetlands to the UNESCO Biosphere of the escarpment, right next to vineyards and the horticulture programs at the college. It all strikes a balance.”
