Niagara Falls Review: NC alumna’s non-profit supports Black women and children in shelters

Welland Tribune

A February 6 article in the three Niagara dailies (Welland Tribune, St. Catharines Standard and Niagara Falls Review) dedicated an article to NC alumna, Erica Williams’, non-profit organization Erica’s Embrace that supports Black women and children in shelters.

The article highlights that for Black History Month, Erica’s Embrace teamed up with Niagara College for a culinary pop-up where all proceeds from the two on-campus events, hosted by the culinary, tourism and beverage studies division and culinary services, were in support of the charity.

The article also notes that Williams was one of two Niagara College alumni chosen by Colleges Ontario to receive the Premier’s Award in 2022.
