In this Eating Niagara column in the Niagara Dailies, food writer Tiffany Mayer mentions local fare made by NC alumna Sarah Cabansay (Baking and Pastry Arts, 2020) in a list of local foods to try in Niagara this winter.
Cabansay, who operates Dulce by Sarah, offers a date and walnut cake called Food for the Gods, which Mayer gives a glowing review for its buttery and decadent qualities. She also mentions how Cabansay donated proceeds from cake sales to aid organizations providing clean water and supplies in the Philippines, Cabansay’s native country, after it was hit by Typhoon Ulysses in November 2020.
