Local food writer Tiffany Mayer features NC alumna Marissa Hartley (Culinary Skills – Chef Training, 2015) and her business CHZ PLZ in an article appearing in all three Niagara Dailies on December 29.
Hartley launched CHZ PLZ, which specializes in artfully crafted charcuterie boxes, in May 2018, borrowing kitchen space before opening a storefront in Port Dalhousie in February 2020, just “weeks before a global pandemic would take the allure out of shareable food,” as Mayer writes.
In the article, Mayer also notes how Hartley adjusted her business during COVID-19 by offering mini charcuterie boxes suitable for single servings and “perfect for eating alone in a lockdown.”
