On February 7, Tami Jeanneret with 101.1 More FM reported on the sudden passing of NC alumnus and award-winning Niagara winemaker Paul Pender. Pender, who graduated from NC’s Winery Viticulture and Technician program in 2006, died on Feb. 3 at the age of 54. He was the Director of Viticulture and Winemaking at Tawse Winery in Vineland, Ont.
