NC alumna Amy Audibert part of all-female broadcast crew for Toronto Raptors game airing Mar. 24

The Toronto Raptors will be featuring an all-female broadcast crew for their March 24 game against the Denver Nuggets and NC alumna Amy Audibert is one of the on-air personalities included. Audibert, who graduated from NC’s Broadcasting – Radio, Television and Film program in 2012, will host and provide analysis for the game working alongside Kate Beirness, Kayla Grey, Meghan McPeak and Kia Nurse, as mentioned in a CTV News article posted on March 8.

The Raptors made the announcement on International Women’s Day. Raptors vice-president of organizational diversity and inclusion John Wiggins is quoted in the article speaking to the need for more recognition of women in sport. He notes, “And we especially hope that one of the takeaways from this is for girls at home who see Meghan or Amy or Kayla, and think — hey, I could do that. There’s a place for me in sports.”

Audibert, a Niagara Falls native, returned home to study at NC after nearly a decade as a student and basketball player at the University of Miami. Since graduating from the BRTF program, she has graced the networks of CBS Sports, NBATV, and NBATV Canada, among others, with her vibrant on-air persona. In November 2019, she returned to her alma mater for NC’s inaugural ReuKnighted alumni event to catch up with the college community and help cheer on the Knights basketball teams.
